The Cambium GmbH has more than ten years of experience in the design, planning, construction and inspection of climbing parks, playgrounds, rope courses und tree houses. A As entrepreneurs who work with and in the forest, we see our responsibility here. We plan and build in an environmentally friendly way and not just for ecological reasons. Since all products were specially developed for useing in the forest, they are extremely hard-wearing and ecologically and economically sustainable.
Our companys name goes back to cambium, the lifeline of the tree.
It is important for us to preserve this layer of growth under the bark. The fact that our company is based in a historic saw mill in Schmidsfelden Allgäu, Southern Germany, also suits that philosophy. The glassmaking village at the foot of the densely wooded Adelegg ridge looks back on a long tradition of wood processing.
Surrounded by a lot of forest and untouched nature, it is the perfect location for us to do excellent craftsmanship and to find muse for creative innovations. And with success, as the IAPA Award for our products Treewalk, ErlebNest and the SafeFox Guest Monitoring System confirms.

- Thanks to their natural look, our products fit seamlessly into their surroundings. In product development, we rely on the highest quality and sustainability in conception, material and implementation.
- Our tree-protecting mounting technology is based on a unique concept for attaching steel ropes and platforms. The assembly is done in a forest-friendly manner without heavy construction machinery or lifting platforms.
- Tried and tested safety systems are used, from communicating carabiners to the continuous belay system, everything is included.
- Our climbing systems are thought through down to the smallest detail and are continuously optimized for practice based on experience with existing systems.
- After construction, we won’t leave you alone. We carry out tests and inspections, take over maintenance work and repairs – for example after storm damage – and supply you with material from our shop.
- Do you want to build your own climbing park? No problem. We deliver the complete kit to do-it-yourselfe and also support you with exactly the services that you need from us.

- 2008 – Lightning start with four climbing forests and two high ropes courses. Including: Lauschhütte, Sayn, Bad Tölz, Prien am Chiemsee, Hobbach and Recklinghausen.
- 2007 – Simon and Iris Cassier founded Cambium GmbH. Iris brings experience as a Ropes Course trainer, Simon brings a wealth of experience from various branches of the craft as well as his innovative spirit.
